So, I think this AMD processor I got on Craigslist is a bust. System crashes & restarts are common when running a heavy load of training, though streaming media and/or gaming is fine.
Of course, it could be the GPU that’s crashing, but I have more faith in NVidia’s GPUs than AMD’s CPUs.
I think I’ll have to replace it soon. Given that I wasn’t planning on spending more money on this, I’d like to keep the cost down… The Skylake i3s look good, at an affordable price, and probably outperforming my dual-core i5 laptop. Plus, they’re a hell of a lot cooler / more power efficient.
